Banks in Hope, IN

Answer (9):

Nemesis

Only the reckless ones, authors of their own demise, and so long as the pieces left aren't gobbled up by vultures. We need banks to keep the wheels of commerce turning - exchange of goods and services by bartering just wouldn't work. When the dust settles those who should have known better can be brought to account, as most of us would if found to be failures. The lawyers will have a field-day.

Yes, they should go bust. We need surgery and not homeopathy treatment for this capitalist greed. Remember how the banks chase us average blokes to return souple of 100 dollars of loan but they re-schedule the millions of dollars of loans of big sharks who have not intention of returning it back. Some of you would say, then we common folks shall get doomed - not really as eventually all the congressmen and senators have to get elected and only these 100 dollar average person goes out to vote and so they shall give us some floating rings to keep us afloat.

I would love to see the greedy bankers get there comeuppance, but people like that would be the first to ensure their nest is feathered and the only way a banking crisis would hurt them is that it would interfere in their ability to make more money.

Hopefully world governments will formulate laws to legislate against greed on a scale that actually works against the national interest and the laws of common sense.

Maya R

Not really. It would cause a lot of pain for small people who depend on the banking system, and have hard earned cash there.
But I would put on trial the guys who actually robbed the banks they worked for from the inside.

Top Cat

this is a silly question

if the banks go bust that would mean that more people will loose
their savings/reterement accounts

Nikki

No. Much as I dislike the big shots getting so much, bank failures will only hurt us, the little people.

eight_money

No as The Greenback would be worth nothin and cause the Depression and stock markets crash

Racer

No, not at all. That will send the world into a freaking tailspin... the likes of which it has not seen. All economy's would suffer if that happened.

Hal

A global crash may make people think a bit better. But I doubt it.
