Google wants your bank details for verification of you owning that bank account. They get in touch with a vast amount of bank accounts and they won't abuse any of them. It's safe!

yes, you just give them your bank account info and routing number that's it. Don't worry google will send small amounts of money to verify if that's your account or not through email. So make sure not to delete any information on your email that pretains to google.
