Change Bank Branches?

Share |

I have recently moved to another town where I didn't set up my original Bank Account. I have change my address online, but does that count as changing Branches (for Bank of America)? Or do I have to do something else to change Branches?

If you have an account with Bank of America (which, interestingly, began business in California as the Bank of Italy) then you do not need to "move branches" -- your account should be accessible from ANY branch, whether you're in Arcata, San Francisco, Monterey, or even CUC----------amonga!

You MAY have to go in and speak to a Customer Service person at your local branch if you have moved across state lines, but if you have moved within the state, you likely do not need to do anything.

Why would you need to change the branch? If you have an account with Bank of America, you can go into any branch in the country and do the same transactions/operations that you can do at the branch you originally signed up for.
