Per your update: Yes, based upon what I've read about this outfit, seek guidance from your local JAG officer. Hopefully, you have money saved up front to settle immediately with these vultures. If you do, get all terms in writing first. The problem I as I stated below, is that this is a very aggressive outfit. They are most likely going to to try to shake you down for as much money as they can possibly get out of you from this old judgment. I wish you had asked this question prior to contacting them, as I would have warned you about this firm's reputation. You probably would have been better off not having contacted this firm to begin with. I don't mean to scare you, but I've read nothing but horrible things about this firm. See this link:

If you can't reach an agreement for a settlement and they are asking more than you can pay, then you may want to think about pulling any cash you have in bank accounts and putting that in a safe or safe deposit box. This might be a good idea anyway.

This is what you call stirring up a hornet's nest. This is a very aggressive firm and they're going to try to squeeze every penny out of you that they can. They want your pay stub info so that they can start wage garnishment. They can levy any account they can get their hands on to take the amount of the judgment.

FYI: This is a horrible firm you are dealing with. Check out the complaints against them:

I hope that you have money saved up to settle this judgment up front. If you do, get all terms in writing before you pay, which states that the judgment will be satisfied upon receipt of the agreed-to amount from you. If you don't, then don't be surprised if you end up with your wages being garnished. You'll probably regret the day you renewed contact with this firm. See your base JAG office for guidance. Any "advise" on what to do from this firm will be 100% against your best interests.
