Can a bank charge fees if they neglect to cash a check that would have been good?

Kind of a long story, my Mom had a car loan with Wells-Fargo, which she was having a hard time paying off, so they settled with her for 1200 dollars on the loan. I told her I would pay it off for her, so she sent them the check thinking I'd give her the money to put in her account. I couldn't meet with her...

Banks are one the biggest crooks in the Country and get away with it. They will charge what they want and usually wont correct their own mistakes. You try cheating a bank out of a dime and see what you get.@@ Dont do business with a bank that charges for your checks and transactions. Check out a Credit Union that does alot of things free for you. If in Danville IL the best bet is Iroquois Federal and Loan that doesnt charge for checks and pays you some interest on your money

They did not take money from your account because they received the check. The check was not good, it was returned due to insufficient funds. Then you both ignored the situation for 6 months. Of course she owes more,
