Your calenders are right. The last Monday in May is normally a bank holiday, but this year it has been moved to the first Monday in June, which is the 4th of June, because of the Queen's diamond jubilee. We also get an extra bank holiday on Tuesday the 5th of June

AlizK - the term "Bank Holiday" in the title might have given you an indication that the question's about British holidays - normally the last Monday in May is the "Spring Bank Holiday" but this year it has been delayed for a week to be combined with the Queens Diamond Jubilee Holiday to give us a four-day weekend.

Monday, May 28 is a holiday. It is when Memorial Day is remembered this year. When it was first made a holiday on May 31st. It is to remember the that end of WWI.
