I just received one of those today. Remitter: Aurele Jacob also issued by Travelers Express company INC Routing # 100209440 Acct. 044015543 0160010704668 RC# 940 I was trying to sell a car on EBAY and i knew from the start something wasn't right.

i recieved one of thoose checks and i took it to a check cashing place and after about 30 min they cam back and told me that the checks are indeed counterfit
so what ever yo do od not send any items and do not cash your check for you are fully liable for the transaction
you would have to payback all funds and also have to pay fines up to $10,000.00 and or 5 years in jail so its all up to you you should contact whom ever sent you the check and make other payment arangments
Take it to an officer of the bank. If it is a scam and it probably is, they will drain your bank account dry. Also, report it to the postal authorities.
