Any opinions on Bank of America in Bakersfield, CA?

Good luck, I was certain I had started an account for my now 11 year old daughter back in 95 when she was first born. BofA is now stating because I don't have the original passbook (savings) I am essentially "out of luck". I even wanted to use mine and my daughters' SSI numbers to retrieve the account. This was in Long Beach, Calif. Hopefully someone will have an answer that will help both of us. By the way I put 50.00 in to start and it was suppose to draw interest monthly. They have no record, and I moved away toTexas and forgot about it. I guess they did too!
