Please deposit the cheque with your bank. Excepting some small coop banks, most of the banks are authorised dealers ( those banks which are permitted by RBI to deal in Forex ) and your bank will collect the cheque, convert the amount into Rupees and credit your account. In case you have plans to go abroad, you can advice your bank to keep the money in an EEFC ( Exchange Earners Foreign Currency ) account so that the conversion into Rupees need not be done.

you should be able to deposit in any bank that takes forgein currency.. You can also ask the Bank of Scotland to convert it to Indias money system.. And did you know Nabeel was one of the Bank of Scotland theives on that ATM THEFT that occured last year at 7 different bank of scotland ATMS including in the USA? Shes a terrorist and people all around me know her and how to reach her, and no one will turn her in, in the meantime i get sprayed with nuclear waste and no one STOPS THE TERROR CELL OPERATIVES. not a joke.
