Best bank in San Francisco Bay Area?I will soon be moving from the Atlanta, GA area to Sausalito (Marin County, CA) and since I bank with Suntrust, one in only the Southeast, I need to open an account with one in the SF Area. Westamerica Bank on Bridgeway in Sausalito is the best. They may have Bank of Marin, which is a very good community bank. They do have Wells Fargo and BofA but for local banks, Westamerica or Bank of Marin. I would never go back to BofA. They are the worst crooks.
You should ask for a bank in Marin county, not the whole bay area. They are not all the same.
I would use the credit union because they can handle it all. I know I lived in CA for almost 10 yrs and they never let me down.
